I thoroughly enjoyed this post, Dan! And I believed you when you said that you read a book about Ben Franklin and then wrote the post in a loud Philadelphia Starbucks, but you know me, I appreciated the "Exhibit A" evidence. ;)

Wish I knew about Ben Franklin’s gift, I should have been a blacksmith’s apprentice. Since you love the gothic novel I recommend reading southern gothic, namely The Devil all The Time by Donald Ray Pollack and Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. Also I just finished Norwood per your recommendation, loved it.

Great SNL clip! As a Buffalo Bills fan, I agree with everything Philly says about the Patriots and Brady. What a fun read Dan, and thanks for the book recs! I just finished None of this is True by Lisa Jewell.

Don’t forget, Eagles fans have also thrown snowballs at Santa Claus (speaking as a proud Eagles fan.)

Book recs: Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel and Circe by Madeline Miller (a Philadelphia native)
