You know one we forgot? Dodge ball. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. If you can dodge a Cub Scout selling popcorn, you can dodge a fundraiser aiming for your wallet. Oh wait. . .that’s not the purpose of this column, is it? Never mind.

I guess dodge ball isn’t a board game, is it? My bad.

I know I’m not the creator of this Substack, but I vote that dodgeball should count anyway.

How has nobody thought of “Dodgeball: The Board Game”?

Dodgeball: The Board Game is a brilliant idea and I'm jealous as hell I didn't think of it first.

I was catching up this morning on a few weeks’ worth and mentioned Parcheesi in an earlier one. My mom was the queen of rolling enough to kill and/or block you every time. She played the Cobra Kai way. My daughter recently used the block strategy against me to win. It was only her 3rd time playing. I was so proud! There must be a metaphor for fundraising in there, but I don’t know it. Keep going for the ask even if the donors block your moves?

I’m still the family champ at Boggle and Scrabble but they always say it’s because of the clear, unfair advantage of being an English teacher. Waiting for her to start beating me. It will happen.

Love this, Angda! I haven't played Parcheesi and ages but now want to pit my Cobra Kai children against your Cobra Kai mom in head-to-head game night challenge!

It was pretty much a draw, I think.

We play Jenga here and one of our friends borrow it all the time.

I'd play Jenga with the Zallers any day of the week! (And one of these days I'll see you back on the pickleball court, too!)
